Finished-print example

A bird peeking through a wall

An 18-second, silent video shows the finished mug turning on a display stand. A green bird appears to peek through a jagged opening in the wall design; the turn shows the artwork around the mug and its green handle and interior. The broken-wall effect is artwork, not a hole in the ceramic.

The brief

A bird looking out through a wall.

The finished design

A green bird, a dark opening and broken-wall edges create the illusion of the bird peeking out of the mug. The surrounding green wall artwork continues around the printed surface.

This is footage of a finished mug, separate from the illustrative design previews below. The artwork is published with its creator’s permission.
